Week In Review:
Each day USMWF extensively researches articles regarding work
incidents, illnesses and diseases to share with you recognizing those we
have lost. But, also to gain attention to such losses to prevent
similar incidents, illnesses and diseases from occurring.
USMWF
knows and understand that these articles represent only a few of the 14
workers lost each day due to a work related incident in the United
States as not every incident is recognized by the local media.
We
never forget those that went to work and never came home to their
families and we hope that you remember them and their stories.

For the second time in six months, a worker at the Mar-Jac poultry plant
in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, has died. The accident took place on May
31, around 11:30 p.m., and police were called to the plant. Bobby
Butler, 48, was rushed to Forrest General Hospital where he was later
pronounced dead. Local reports revealed that the fatal accident was
related to heavy machinery.
