Each day USMWF extensively researches articles regarding work
incidents, illnesses and diseases to share with you recognizing those we
have lost. But, also to gain attention to such losses to prevent
similar incidents, illnesses and diseases from occurring.
USMWF
knows and understand that these articles represent only a few of the 14
workers lost each day due to a work related incident in the United
States as not every incident is recognized by the local media.
We
never forget those that went to work and never came home to their

officials have identified a man who died after the tree trimming truck’s

Death of 31-year-old construction worker in Seattle highlights health and safety issues amid carpenters' strike- by Claude Delphian
On Monday, September 20, 31-year-old construction worker Bryan Phillips
died on the scene at the Washington State Convention Center project site
in Seattle. Bryan, a member of Cement Masons Local 528, was a plasterer
and was fatally injured when his lift equipment fell from the second
level of the construction site. The Seattle Fire Department was called
to the 9th Avenue scene to perform a “rescue extrication” but was unable
to save the worker’s life.

FORT WORTH, Texas - A city of Fort Worth employee died while working on a streetlight over the weekend.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported 28-year-old Jorge Gomez-Guzman was electrocuted while making repairs on Vickery Boulevard.

ALAMO, Ga. (WCTV) - Authorities from Alamo, Georgia say an officer was shot and killed on his first day on the job.
The victim was identified Saturday afternoon as 26-year-old Dylan Harrison, a part-time Alamo Police Department officer.
Harrison resided in in Wheeler County. He leaves behind a six month old child.
